WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS
PRESTON
Preston created another 2D animation for his digital media arts class. He used a program called FlipBook to create a 10 second animation. Preston really enjoyed the assignment and thinks he would probably use FlipBook again some day to create more short animations.
MARISSA
Marissa started writing a book about World War II. She has studied that period in history quite a bit and wanted to write her own story. It is called "The Secret Attic" and is about a family who lives in Germany during WWII whose family is against Hitler and what he stands for. They are a Christian family who built their house on a small piece of land with the little bit of money that they had. When they built the house, they made an attic, a secret attic, not knowing that later they would need it in order to hide from the Nazis. She completed the first chapter in the book and is part way through chapter 2. She can't wait for people to read it!
CALEB
Caleb has been reading the Hidden Scrolls series. He just finished the 3rd book and is starting the 4th. He likes books that are fast-paced with an interesting story line, but also wants books where the characters are kind and respectful. This book series has been perfect for him in all those respects.
