January 6 - 10

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS

PRESTON

Preston made a video for his digital media arts class.  He created the thumbnail from photoshop and worked on editing skills he has learned throughout the semester to make it look and sound better.  He was so excited about this particular video, and was surprised to get 1.4K views on his YouTube channel.  He is loving all the different skills he's learning and is looking forward to taking Digital Media Arts 2 this semester.

MARISSA

Marissa read "The Richest Man in Babylon" for her Georgics class.  She is preparing for the marketplace where she will get to be an entreprenuer and have her own little business.  She has been brainstorming things to sell at the marketplace and started making products.  She also wrote a paper on entreprenuerialism for class.  She was so excited to get to hear from a local business owner about how he started and eventually sold his business.  It was such a great experience and she learned so much from him!

CALEB

Caleb has been hard at work with his language arts and math again.  He has also been working on inspirements for Ninja Scholars.  This week he is learning about WWII.  He read "Nicky and Vera" and "Stars of the Night" that are both about Nicholas Winton and all the children he helped escape out of Prague before Germany invaded.
