WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS
PRESTON
Preston spent a lot of time working on his language arts and math the past couple of weeks. He also did an art project of a bear using pastels. He's been reading the Percy Jackson series and is excited to finish those books.
MARISSA
Marissa had bootcamp for her Sword of Freedom class this week. They will be learning all about the Civil War this semester. She had a great time!
She also worked on building projects for her exploring technology class. She built a book out of Legos that actually opens and shuts. It was awesome!
CALEB
Caleb has been working hard on his language arts and math. He's also focusing on handwriting and fine motor skills a lot this year.
For his exploring technology class, he built a moving car with parts from a kit we got. He didn't use any instructions, but built it on his own with a little help from his big sister. It turned out great!
OTHER
"FIGHTER" PERFORMANCE
We went to a performance of "Fighter" in Salt Lake City this week. It is put on by the group 90 & 9 and it was so powerful. It was kids on silks and bars performing telling a story about getting through challenging times in life. It was so well done!
